The library's prime objective is to provide services and materials for the staff and programme members of TMTC for academic study, research and consultation.
All users availing of the library are expected to abide by the library regulations detailed below. These regulations are intended to help maintain an effective Library service and an undisturbed, pleasant and safe environment for all users.
Please read the following information carefully.
Noise
Noise must be kept to a minimum in all areas of the library. No sound louder than a whispered conversation is permitted, especially in the reading section. It is therefore advisable not to use this area for group study.
The use of mobile phones is banned in the reading section.
Any infringements of noise regulations may be reported to the librarian at the reference desk.
Rules on noise and mobile phone use are not there to hinder learners, but are intended to provide a silent/quiet study environment throughout the library premises at all times. Library staff, who enforce the rules, must be treated with due respect.

Edibles and drinks can damage books and equipment, attract insects and rodents - and create litter - so please do not bring them into Gyansarovar. Users are not permitted to eat or drink (other than bottled water) in the library.

In compliance with TMTC regulations, smoking is not permitted anywhere in Gyansarovar.
