
Gyansarovar has a collection of 14,000 titles, subscribes to 28 specialist Indian and foreign journals as well as popular magazines. Gyansarovar also subscribes to electronic resources such as Ebscohost, ISI Emerging Markets, ECCH, IBID and CSB. It provides separate sections for reading or browsing through books, journals and viewing videos.
Gyansarovar sustains the scheduled programmes of the centre by ensuring adequate collateral reading material is available in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of participants.
The use of mobile phones is banned in the reading section.
Any infringements of noise regulations may be reported to the Librarian at the reference desk.
Rules on noise and mobile phone use are not there to hinder learners, but are intended to provide a silent / quiet study environment throughout the Library premises at all times. Library staff, who enforce the rules, must be treated with due respect.
All persons leaving Gyansarovar shall ensure, before reaching the exit, that all Library property in their possession has been duly authorised for removal from the premises. Places at reading tables shall not be reserved.
The Gyansarovar staff may inspect articles in the possession of users in the Library.
A demonstration of the WEB-OPAC computerised system for locating books, journals, case studies, etc, can also be arranged on request. The Librarian, available at the reference desk, provides assistance to anyone needing extra training using WEB-OPAC, in addition to help patrons locate books and reference material in the stacks.
Computer terminals are available until 15 minutes before the library closes. Patrons can use the workstations for searching the catalogue and other information.
