The Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), Pune, was established under the aegis of the JRD Tata, Chairman, Tata Group. It began operations on January 6, 1966 with the objective to function as an educational institution facilitating the development of professional leaders contributing towards the economic development of the country. The Centre is today renowned as one of the foremost management training facilities in the country with prestigious national and international affiliations.
Due to its emphasis on the development of corporate leaders, TMTC has been the preferred venue for programmes contributing towards the cause. At the national level, the Centre has organised several programmes in hotel management, hospital administration and the management of secondary schools while several specialised training institutes including the IIMs (Ahmedabad and Calcutta), Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences have employed the Centre’s superior training and development services. On an international scale, TMTC has been the venue for several conferences, including one on Enzyme Engineering, jointly sponsored by the Government of India, UNESCO and the International Federation of Institutes of Advanced Studies. In addition to enabling corporate leaders, TMTC conducts senior level management training sessions with distinguished faculty from premier institutions such as Harvard Business School and University of Michigan Business School. These programmes provide managers with a global understanding of management and administrative issues while also encouraging recognition and understanding of trends and developments in the managerial world today.
TMTC is committed to knowledge sharing, personality development, training corporate leaders and developing managers and administrators for not only business but other spheres of management as well.
